Pursuant to Section 36 of Republic Act No. 9710, otherwise known as the Magna Carta of Women (MCW), all government departments, including their attached agencies, offices, bureaus, state universities and colleges, government –owned and –controlled corporations, local government units and all other government instrumentalities shall adopt gender mainstreaming as a strategy to promote women’s human rights and eliminate gender discrimination in their systems, structures, policies, programs , processes, and procedures;

 To make our services more gender-responsive, the Infanta Quezon Water District (IQWD) strengthens its efforts in implementing Gender and Development (GAD) by upholding gender equity in celebration National Women’s Month 2022 through various activities:

  2. Distribution of reading material on Magna Carta of Women.
  3. The use of All-Women Cast Lupang Hinirang Video on March Flag Raising Ceremonies.
  4. #PurpleTuesdays or #PurpleYourIcon. Wear purple on Tuesdays of March to signify support for women’s empowerment and gender equality and or purple the icons in social media accounts. (hyperlink to pictures of female employees in purple uniform
  5. Libreng sakay for female concessionaires paying water bills from IQWD office to Infanta Town proper on due dates (March 16-24, 2022) (Hyperlink to picture of concessionaires in tricycle)
  6. Showing of VAW orientation Seminar of IQWD employees conducted last November 2021 to concessionaires during dues dates at the concessionaires waiting area and other video materials that empowered women, girl-child and women with disability.
